In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of uploading an existing world and player save file to your Sons of the Forest server.

You MUST convert any single player save to a multiplayer save on your local PC before uploading it to your server.
The host character doesn't migrate, so we recommend storing items or transferring them to a friend first.
Locating Your Existing SOTF Save Files
To start, we first need to locate your existing save file on your local PC.

Windows Key + Ron your keyboard. - 2
Copy and paste this, and then navigate to
{YOUR-STEAM-ID}\Multiplayeror\Singleplayer.%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Endnight\SonsOfTheForest\Saves\ - 3
Here you will see a folder with random numbers, create a copy of the save folder you want to upload.
Uploading An Existing SOTF Save To Your Server
- 1Log in to the Game Host Bros Game Panel and
Stopyour Sons of the Forest server. - 2Connect to your server with [SFTP]
- 3Navigate to
/serverconfig/Saves/DedicatedServer/Multiplayer/and Upload your save folder. - 4Go to
Startup Parametersand changeSave Slotto the name of your uploaded save folder. - 5Start your server.
Using 1922034134 as an example Save ID (The name of your save folder). This is what your server should now look like
Converting Your Single Player Save To A Multiplayer Save.
If you're migrating a save that is already from a co-op server and found in your Multiplayer folder

Locate Your Singleplayer Save and then create a copy.

Go back to the previous folder and enter the
Multiplayerfolder. - 3
Paste your copied save folder.

Open Sons of the Forest and click
Multiplayer > Host Game > Continue > Load Game, select the world you want and clickStart. - 5
In-game manually save using a Tarp or Tent and then close the game.

Multiplayerfolder.
