Whether you've just ordered your first server or you're adding mods to one you've run for years, these guides show you how to do it yourself. Pick your game below to find step-by-step setup instructions, configuration tips, and troubleshooting help, all written for Game Host Bros servers and Bropanel.
What You'll Find In Each Game's Guides
Every game has its own section, and most follow the same pattern. You make most changes in Bropanel under Settings, then restart your server to apply them. Depending on the game, its section covers:
- Connecting to your server using the IP address and port on the
Overviewpage, or the in-game server browser. - Configuring your server, from the server name and password to difficulty, game modes, and player limits. Some games use config files instead of panel settings, and their guides explain those files.
- Uploading an existing save or world from your own PC so you can carry on where you left off.
- Installing mods, in some games straight from the Steam Workshop.
- Adding admins and using console or admin commands to manage players.
- Resetting your server when you want a completely fresh start.
Some games, like Counter-Strike 2 and The Forest, need a Steam Game Server Login Token (GSLT) before players can connect. Look for a Create GSLT guide in your game's section.
