ANEURISM IV
ANEURISM IV is a multiplayer dystopian city simulator from Vellocet in which you arrive as a Spirit and pick a fate before taking physical form. You might end up a Prole working the factory floor, a Banker moving money, a Liquidator containing contamination, or a Scumbag or Zealot spreading it. There are no objectives and no rules, only consequences: the Rot visibly eats through the metropolis, and if nobody holds it back the city collapses and resets. Between the ideological factions sits ordinary life, which is to say working shifts, paying taxes, renting property, doing laundry, managing nourishment and sanity, and evading the Cortex when you do not.
The whole premise depends on a population, which is why ANEURISM IV is best on a server you control. The city state carries over between sessions, so the balance between the Cortex and the Rot is the accumulated result of everything the players have done, not a fresh start each evening. Running your own server lets you set the tone, whether that is a roleplay community with an established economy or a smaller private city for friends, and it keeps the same world available whenever anyone logs on.
