Assetto Corsa is a racing simulator built by Kunos Simulazioni at their office inside the Vallelunga circuit. Its tracks are laser scanned, its cars are officially licensed and modelled from manufacturer data, and its tyre model simulates flat spots, heat cycles, graining and blistering. Alongside career, hotlap, drift and time attack modes, it runs online multiplayer sessions where a field of drivers shares practice, qualifying and race stints on the same server.
Online racing lives or dies on a stable, properly configured host. A dedicated Assetto Corsa server gives a league a fixed home with its own entry list, session lengths, fuel and tyre rules, damage settings and penalty enforcement, all set once and reused every race night. Because the server dictates the car and track combination, everyone turns up to the same event rather than negotiating settings in a lobby, and results stay consistent from round to round.
