Astro Colony
Astro Colony is an automation and exploration game set in an infinite procedurally generated universe made of fully destructible voxel planets. You build conveyor belts and pipe networks to move resources, recruit astronauts and keep them fed and housed, and research more than seventy technologies as the colony grows. Stations can be moved and docked together into a galaxy spanning network, and the whole thing can be played in online co-op or by joining a hosted lobby.
Factory building is a game of long projects. A smelting chain, a food loop and a research pipeline take hours to lay out and days to tune, and none of that progress should depend on one person staying online. An Astro Colony server keeps the colony hosted so anyone in the group can dock, extend a belt or fix a bottleneck whenever they have half an hour free. Because the universe is voxel based and procedurally generated, the world data also grows steadily, which is easier to manage on a machine that exists for that job alone.
