About
ATLAS
ATLAS is a pirate survival sandbox from Grapeshot Games, built by people who worked on ARK: Survival Evolved. Ships are constructed piece by piece, from rafts and dinghies up to frigates and galleons, with the planks, masts, gunports and sail design all placed by the player. Crews are made up of other players or hired NPCs who man the guns and haul the sails. The world spans roughly 45,000 square kilometres and more than 700 landmasses, sailed in real time, with buried treasure, sunken wrecks, settlement building and fleet warfare on top.
An ATLAS world is not one server, it is a grid of them stitched together, and a ship sailing off the edge of one square is handed to the next. That architecture is the reason private hosting suits the game so well: a smaller group can run a reduced grid sized to their crew instead of competing on a public map with thousands of players. On your own server you set harvest and taming rates, decide whether the seas are PvE or open PvP, control claim flags and settlement rules, and keep every ship, warehouse and island claim persistent whether or not anyone is logged in.
Game Host Bros will host ATLAS on AMD Ryzen 9 9950X and EPYC processors with NVMe storage, which is the sort of hardware a grid of persistent world instances actually needs. Full control panel and file access will be provided for editing server settings and multipliers, with enterprise-grade DDoS protection guarding your ports and 15 global server locations to pick from so your crew plays close to home. Migrating an existing ATLAS world from another host will not cost anything.
ATLAS is sold on Steam for Windows and supports crossplay with Xbox players in the same world. Mods and community content are distributed through the Steam Workshop, and the ATLAS Dev Kit lets creators build custom maps and assets. Server operators control grid size and layout, creature and resource multipliers, claim mechanics and admin access through the server configuration files.
Game Host Bros will offer ATLAS server hosting from $23.99/mo. Rent a dedicated ATLAS server for your crew with instant setup, automatic backups, Workshop mod support and 15 global locations to choose from.
