BATTALION: Legacy is the final version of BATTALION 1944, a fast Second World War shooter built around the classic competitive shooters of the early 2000s. There are no perks, killstreaks or unlocks to grind. Every round comes down to aim, movement and teamwork, with bolt action rifles, submachine guns and grenades on close quarters maps set across wartime Europe. The game is free to play on Steam.

Matches run in two modes. Wartide is 5v5 search and destroy: one team plants the bomb, the other defends, and players buy their loadout between rounds. Arcade is a team deathmatch where everyone respawns and the first team to the score limit wins. After each match players vote on the next map and mode, so a lobby can rotate between both without anyone touching the server.

Servers will use the official Linux dedicated server and update themselves on restart. Our control panel will set the server name, join password, admin password, team size, bots, friendly fire and map voting from simple settings, and enterprise-grade DDoS protection will keep matches running smoothly.

Bots can fill every empty slot and step aside as real players join, so a small group can still play a full 5v5, and practice sessions never wait on a lobby. Admins can log in from the in-game console to change the map and mode, kick players, remove bots or pause the round, and full file access lets you tune round times, scores and spawn rules in the server's Game.ini.
