Blind Descent is an open world survival adventure from Pokuch that takes place under the surface of Mars. A reconnaissance team of up to four pioneers went missing in the Martian depths, and you follow them down into an ecosystem that reacts to everything you do. The loop is built on scanning alien lifeforms for resources, crafting tools from what you learn, clearing and upgrading the abandoned base the previous team left behind, and deciding whether to solve the hazards with science or mutate your own body to fit the environment. It plays solo or in four player online co-op with cross platform multiplayer.

Because so much of Blind Descent hangs on a shelter you reclaim, repair and defend against creeping vines and fungal growth, the condition of that base between sessions is the whole story. Hosting the expedition on a dedicated server means the base stays exactly as your group left it, and it stops the run from being tied to whichever player happens to be online. A crew spread across different time zones can each push a little further into the depths, and nobody has to wait for the host.
