Chivalry 2 is a multiplayer first person slasher from Torn Banner Studios that chases the feel of a medieval film battle. Up to 64 players fight over Team Objective maps where catapults tear the ground apart, villages burn and castle walls get stormed in stages. Four base classes branch into more than ten subclasses with over 30 weapons, and a full mounted combat system lets you trample infantry, unhorse a rival with a lance or land a rear horse kick before dropping back into the melee on foot.
Chivalry 2 is a server driven game, so owning the server is close to owning the match. Running your own lets a clan fix the map rotation, decide between Team Objective, Team Deathmatch and Free-for-All, and keep a private ground for scrims instead of queueing into public lobbies. You control the player cap, admin roles and ban list, and you pick the region the match is hosted in, which matters a great deal in a game where directional melee reads and parries depend on stable ping.
