Dark and Light
Dark and Light is a sandbox survival RPG from Snail Games set on Archos, a satellite world that sits under the shattered remains of the mother planet Gaia. Six elemental forces, wind, earth, water, fire, light and darkness, shape a map that runs from lush forest and ice capped peaks to a sulphurous volcano, floating islands, swamps and deep caverns. You gather and craft, build a home, domesticate mythical creatures, and unlock weapons, spells and skills. Nights turn the landscape hostile, and eclipses send the local wildlife into a frenzy.
Dark and Light is a heavy persistent world, and almost everything valuable in it, a fortress, a stable of tamed creatures, a tribe's stored resources, only has meaning if it is still there tomorrow. That is what a dedicated server buys you. The world keeps running whether or not the founder is online, and the admin sets the terms: PvE or PvP, harvest, experience and taming multipliers, structure limits and player caps. It is the difference between a shared world and a save file one person happens to own.
