Day of Dragons
Day of Dragons is an online creature survival sandbox from Beawesome Games. You enter the world as a hatchling of one of several dragon species and have to eat, drink and survive long enough to grow into an adult, gaining size, stats and abilities as you go. Species play very differently: some breathe fire, others spit acid or plasma, some turn invisible, and flight is physics based rather than scripted. Nesting lets players lay eggs that inherit their parents' stats, and reaching adulthood opens the path to Alpha forms and the playable Elementals, across a mega map of forest, desert, lava, swamp, grassland and caves.
Every session of Day of Dragons happens on a dedicated server that someone is hosting, so the server is not an optional extra, it is the game. Running your own means your clan gets a stable home with its own rules, its own mix of player and AI creatures, and its own player cap, and it means a dragon you spent hours growing is not at the mercy of a public server changing hands. Clan chat, leadership roles and territory only really work when the same population logs into the same world night after night.
