About
Dysterra
Dysterra is a free-to-play sci-fi FPS survival crafting game from Reality MagiQ. Humanity has abandoned Earth for an orbital satellite called Orbis, and you are sent down to Ararat Island to mine Terrasite, the mineral that now powers everything. You gather metal and stone, raise a base and keep it fed with Terrasite, craft weapons and armour, and either team up to build a stronghold or hunt other players for their loot. Almost every action feeds a skill level that buys extra health, better healing or the ability to glide, and locked bunkers, portals and loot rooms reward anyone willing to go underground. It runs offline single-player as well as online custom servers.
Dysterra does something unusual with wipes: taking facilities on the map extends or shortens how long the server lives, inside a hard floor of fourteen days and a ceiling of thirty, and skill points reset each time. That mechanic only means anything on a server that a community actually owns. Running your own gives you control of the wipe cadence, the ruleset players compete under, and who is on the island, so your regulars are not dropped into a stranger's server that resets the week they started building.
Game Host Bros will run Dysterra servers on AMD Ryzen 9 9950X and EPYC processors with NVMe storage, across 15 global server locations. Server configuration and wipe scheduling will be handled from our game panel, with automatic backups, scheduled restarts and enterprise-grade DDoS protection included. Free migrations are available if you are coming from another host.
Dysterra is free to play on Steam for Windows and relaunched in April 2025. Multiplayer is custom-server only, which means the community server list is the game, and features such as Steam Cloud, Remote Play Together and adjustable character customisation carry over to whichever server you join.
