nanos world is an open world multiplayer sandbox built on Unreal Engine 5 by Go Horse Studios, aimed at the crowd that grew up on Garry's Mod, SA-MP and FiveM. There are no fixed objectives. Creators write game modes in Lua against a documented scripting API, import their own FBX models, maps and assets straight out of Unreal Engine 5, and publish packages to an integrated Vault that any server can pull in as user generated content.

nanos world is a server first game, and nearly everything interesting about it happens on the machine you rent. Roleplay, racing, tactical shooters and physics playgrounds are all just packages you load, so a dedicated nanos world server is where you install scripts, test your own Lua with live reloading, connect a database and set the ruleset. The custom networking layer is built to keep large numbers of synced entities moving, and the server software runs on both Windows and Linux.
