About
OpenTTD
OpenTTD is the free, open source transport simulation game based on Chris Sawyer's Transport Tycoon Deluxe. You build a transport company from nothing, laying railways, roads, bus and tram lines, airports and harbours to carry passengers, mail and cargo between towns and industries. Trains, trucks, ships and aircraft compete for profit as the decades pass and new vehicles arrive, on maps as small as a village or as wide as 4,096 tiles. Thousands of players still play it every day, and hundreds of public servers are online at any time.
Multiplayer is where OpenTTD shines. Up to 15 companies can share one map, so friends can race each other for the best network or pool their money in one company and build a giant rail empire together. A dedicated server keeps the game world running around the clock, so everyone can drop in whenever they like and pick up where they left off, with no host needing to keep their own computer on.
Game Host Bros will run OpenTTD servers on AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processors with NVMe storage across 14 global server locations. Servers will use the official Linux dedicated server with the free OpenGFX graphics and will install the latest stable OpenTTD release, updating on restart so your server keeps up with players' games. Our control panel will set the server name, password, player and company limits, climate, map size and starting year from simple settings.
Your game will be saved when the server stops and continued on the next start, and it can pause while nobody is playing so no company goes bankrupt overnight. Upload your own save to carry on an existing game, or add NewGRFs, AIs and game scripts with full file access. Remote console access lets you kick players, reset companies and change settings without leaving the game, and enterprise-grade DDoS protection will keep your network running.
Game Host Bros will offer OpenTTD server hosting from $7.99/mo. Rent an OpenTTD dedicated server for your friends or community and you get instant setup, automatic backups, full file access and 14 global locations to keep lag low.
