Primal Carnage: Extinction is an asymmetric class based multiplayer shooter set on an island chain overrun by escaped dinosaurs. One team fields five human mercenary classes with distinct weapons and gadgets, while the other picks from twelve dinosaur classes ranging from small spitters to towering tyrants, each with its own attacks and a Roar ability that shifts a fight. Alongside the main team objective modes there is a co-op mode against waves of AI dinosaurs and nest based modes built around stealing or defending eggs.
This is a game about a full lobby, so an always on Primal Carnage server is the difference between a match and an empty browser entry. Renting your own gives you the map rotation, the mode list and the player slots you want, plus admin tools to keep a regular community together, which matters for a title with a dedicated long running player base rather than a constant stream of newcomers.
