Cheap and Good Hosting
“Used this for our Project Zomboid server, not sponsored in any way.I'll be giving my full honest review about the server hosting and MY experience with it.For context, I am a bit knowledgeable with setting up mods for a local play for Project Zomboid, and doing a bit of updating, but I never tried to host a dedicated server on my own. Well, I did try and do it on my own PC, but with all of the port forwarding it was a nightmare and I just wanted to hop on the game and play with friends. This is where Game Host Bros came in, it was recommended by a friend, and we tried it, well it was a bit of a head scratcher at first since that's just how Project Zomboid works, you really got to set up everything, from maps to mods, to sandbox values, to the parameters of within the INI File. Well it seems that I am saying negative things, but keep in mind that those negative things are not directed to Game Host Bros. All of my pain points in setting up the server locally was alleviated by Game Host Bros! They are truly helpful, you can just send them a message on Discord or even Reddit and they would do their best to help you in setting up your server (Even if there are already guides that they setup, they still help you and not just give you the guide and leave you on your own.) Their services are cheaper than other competitors in the market, while also providing better server performance at the same price point compared to those other competitors. So with that I would fully recommend Game Host Bros for your server needs. I might even try and get another server for my other games if my friends decide for it.TL;DR - Game Host Bros is an excellent server hosting website. It might be confusing at first, but all of their staff are helpful and would definitely help you in building your server. They also provide one of, if not, the best price to performance ratio compared to their other competitors.”

“I've been using GameHostBro's for roughly half a year now. I randomly stumbled upon it through searching for Game Hosting for a Necesse server to play with my friends. I was impressed with how easy it was to get a server up and running and easily be able to add in mods that update automatically with server restarts. Recently we decided to call it quits with Necesse and move into a Zomboid server to which the team at GameHostBro's were swift to respond to my ticket and get my server swapped over along with ensuring that my Server Plan was stayed the same or close to similar. (Thanks Michael!).If you're looking for a smooth easy to start server for your next session with friends, would highly recommend you give GHB a shot.”

About
PZ
Project Zomboid is an isometric zombie survival game developed by The Indie Stone that simulates a realistic apocalypse in Knox County. Players scavenge for supplies, build and fortify safe houses, farm food, craft items, manage their character's health and mood, and fight through an ever-growing zombie population. The game features deep mechanics including skill progression, nutrition tracking, vehicle maintenance, and a sandbox settings system that lets you tune every aspect of the apocalypse.
A dedicated Project Zomboid server lets your community share a persistent world where everyone can connect independently without relying on a host player. This is especially valuable for larger groups running roleplay communities, cooperative survival settlements, or PvP-enabled servers. With a dedicated server, you get full control over sandbox settings including zombie population, loot respawn rates, day length, player stats, and weather conditions.
Game Host Bros runs Project Zomboid servers on AMD Ryzen 9 9950X and EPYC processors with NVMe storage across 15 global locations. We fully support B42, now the game's stable public build, and older builds are switchable from our panel. Steam Workshop mods can be installed in one click from our built-in mod browser, or added manually by editing Workshop IDs and Mod IDs into the pzserver.ini file for full control, and B42 multiplayer modding is supported with specific configuration steps documented in our guides. Server configuration is available through our panel for basics like server name, password, and version, while sandbox settings are fully customizable through pzserver_SandboxVars.lua. You can also set a custom welcome message, configure max players, and manage the server version. We host up to 100 players at no extra charge and offer free save transfers.
Project Zomboid is available on Steam and has a large modding community on the Workshop with mods covering new weapons, vehicles, map expansions, and quality-of-life improvements. B42 mod compatibility is still evolving, so check individual mod pages for support status. Full file manager access lets you edit all configuration files directly, and our troubleshooting guides cover common issues like sandbox settings not applying and corrupted save files.
Game Host Bros offers the best Project Zomboid server hosting from $15.99/mo. Whether you want to host a Project Zomboid server for a few friends or rent a dedicated server with B42 and up to 100 players, plans include instant setup, Steam Workshop mod support, and 15 global locations.
