Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad is Tripwire Interactive's tactical Second World War shooter, centred on the Battle of Stalingrad between July 1942 and February 1943 and now bundled with the full Rising Storm Pacific content. Combat is deliberately unforgiving, with a first person cover system, blind fire, free aim and no crosshair by default. Modes run from Firefight and single life Countdown to the territory capture rounds the series is known for, and armoured battles put you inside fully modelled tank interiors with an AI crew.
Red Orchestra 2 is a community server game first and foremost. Renting your own gives a clan or regiment a permanent home with the map rotation, round timers, realism settings and player slots it wants, rather than taking whatever a public server has configured. Persistent stats, rank progression and the hero system all reward players who return to the same server, so a stable address matters more here than in most shooters.
