The Planet Crafter by Miju Games is an open world survival and terraforming game built for one to ten players in online co-op. You land on a barren, hostile planet with thirst, oxygen and temperature all working against you, gather minerals, craft equipment and raise a base, then start building machines that push heat, oxygen and atmospheric pressure upward. As the terraformation index climbs, moss appears, then insects, then lakes, forests and animals. There is no combat at all, only the environment.
Terraforming is measured in hours of steady machine output, so The Planet Crafter suits a dedicated server better than most co-op games. With the world hosted independently, the heaters and oxygen units keep working whether or not the person who started the save is online, and friends in other time zones can drop in, add a few more generators and log off again without stalling anyone else.
