Under a Rock is a procedurally generated open world survival craft game for one to ten players, made by Nordic Trolls and published by Gameforge. You play an early nineteenth century explorer stranded on an island that took a different evolutionary path, where the wildlife is oversized, Neanderthals are still around and curses are real. Crafting, farming, fishing, cooking and combat all feature, alongside dark caves and underwater areas with their own resources, and creatures you can fight, tame, breed or ride.

Base building in Under a Rock has no cap on how large a settlement gets or how many decorative pieces you place, so groups tend to build far more than a short session allows. A dedicated server keeps that village and your tamed creatures loaded and reachable at any hour, which matters when each world is procedurally generated and effectively one of a kind. Whoever holds the server also controls the seed, the invite list and how many of the ten slots go to friends.
