ARK: Survival Evolved is a survival game developed by Studio Wildcard where players tame dinosaurs, build bases, and explore massive open worlds filled with prehistoric and fantastical creatures. The game spans over a dozen official maps including The Island, Ragnarok, Aberration, Extinction, Genesis Parts 1 and 2, Fjordur, Lost Island, Crystal Isles, and the Aquatica expansion. ARK is one of the most resource-intensive survival games available, with complex creature AI, extensive building systems, and large-scale PvP and PvE gameplay.
A dedicated ARK server gives your tribe a persistent world with consistent performance, which is essential for a game where taming a single creature can take hours. You get full control over taming speeds, harvest rates, XP multipliers, difficulty settings, and map selection. Running your own server also lets you manage Obelisk transfers, configure cluster settings for multi-map play, and set rules that match your community's playstyle.
Game Host Bros runs ARK servers on AMD Ryzen 9 9950X and EPYC processors with NVMe storage across 8 global locations. We support all official maps from The Island through Aquatica, with the option to run the Pre-Aquatica game version for communities that prefer it. Steam Workshop mods install by pasting Workshop IDs into our panel, and crossplay between Steam and Epic Games is enabled by adding -crossplay to the additional arguments. We transfer existing saves for free, and player slots are unlimited with no per-slot charges. Server settings are managed through our panel, and advanced users can edit Game.ini and GameUserSettings.ini directly via the file manager.
ARK is available on Steam and Epic Games with crossplay support between both platforms. Note that Steam Workshop mods are only available to Steam players. The modding community is one of the largest in survival gaming, covering everything from Structures Plus to total conversion mods. Each map has different RAM requirements ranging from 8 GB for The Island up to 16 GB for Genesis Part 2, so plan your server size accordingly.
