How To Change the Death Penalty on Your Abiotic Factor Server

The Death Penalty setting determines what happens to a player's items when they die on your Abiotic Factor server.

Changing Death Penalties

    Access the Game Host Bros Panel and Stop your Abiotic Factor server.

    In the sidebar go to Startup Parameters.
  3. 3
    Under Basic, find the Death Penalty setting and select your desired option.

    Restart your server.
OptionDescription
Keep All ItemsPlayers retain all items upon death
Keep Equipped Items And HotbarPlayers keep equipped items and hotbar items
Keep Hotbar OnlyPlayers only keep items in their hotbar
Keep Equipped Items OnlyPlayers only keep equipped items
Lose All Items Including HotbarPlayers lose all items but items remain in the world
All Items Are DestroyedAll player items are permanently destroyed
