How to Configure Your Arma 3 Server

Here's how to configure your Arma 3 server. The most common settings are built into our game panel under Settings, while the server.cfg and basic.cfg files give you full control over general and advanced options.

Basic Server Configuration

The quickest way to change common settings such as Server Name, Max Players, Server Password, and Admin Password is through our game panel.

  1. 1
Log in to Bropanel and select your server.
  2. 2
In the sidebar, go to Settings.
  3. 3
Edit the settings you'd like to change.
  4. 4
Click Save & Restart to apply your changes.

General Settings with server.cfg

For settings beyond the basics, Arma 3 uses the server.cfg file. This is the main configuration file.

  1. 1
Log in to Bropanel and Stop your server.
  2. 2
In the sidebar, go to Files.
  3. 3
    Open server.cfg.
  4. 4
Make your changes, then start your server.

Advanced Settings with basic.cfg

The basic.cfg file is for advanced network and performance tuning. We'd only recommend editing this one if you know what you're doing, as incorrect values can hurt your server's performance.

  1. 1
Log in to Bropanel and Stop your server.
  2. 2
In the sidebar, go to Files.
  3. 3
    Open basic.cfg.
  4. 4
Make your changes, then start your server.
