When a player joins without one of your custom maps or mods, they download it. On 1.5 and United Offensive, your server already sends those files from a fast built-in download server. You can point players at your own web server instead.
Setting Up A Download Redirect
- 1Upload your custom
.pk3files to a web host, keeping the same folder layout as on your server, for examplemain/mp_mymap.pk3. - 2Log in to Bropanel and select your server.
- 3In the sidebar, go to
Settings. - 4Under
Modding, findDownload Redirect URLand enter the web address of the top folder, for examplehttp://files.example.com/cod. - 5Click
Save & Restartto apply your changes.
To use the built-in download server again, clear the Download Redirect URL field and click Save & Restart.
Note
Version 1.1 has no web downloads, so players always download from the game server there.
