About
Longvinter
Longvinter is an open world multiplayer sandbox from Uuvana Studios, set on an island where a crowd of researchers all want the same resources. You fish, farm, cook, craft from a catalogue of more than five hundred items, pitch a tent, upgrade your base along eight specialisation paths and trade with whoever is nearby. You can also rob them. Mercenaries hold bunkers, cave bases and oil rigs for anyone hunting better loot, and player versus player conflict over the good fishing and berry spots is very much part of the design.
Longvinter is only interesting when other people are on the island, so the server is the game. A dedicated Longvinter server keeps that island, its tents, its shops and its rivalries running continuously, which is what lets trade networks and territorial habits form in the first place. As the owner you set the slot count, the PvP rules and the admin team, so a community can run anything from a relaxed trading island to a cutthroat free for all, and the world is not tied to any one player being online.
Game Host Bros will run Longvinter servers on AMD Ryzen 9 9950X and EPYC processors with NVMe storage across 15 global server locations. Populated islands hold a lot of player state at once, so servers will be provisioned with headroom rather than the bare minimum. The control panel will give admins full file access, scheduled restarts, automatic backups and enterprise-grade DDoS protection, and migrating an existing community server to us will be free.
