With regular monthly updates, forced wipes, and a strong emphasis on PvP raiding and base defense, Rust has become one of the most popular survival games on Steam. The game features everything from primitive tools to electricity systems, vehicles, and helicopter encounters.
Running your own Rust dedicated server lets you control the rules of engagement. You can configure wipe schedules, adjust gather rates, set PvP or PvE modes, tweak decay timers, and customize hundreds of settings from tickrate to antihack enforcement levels. A private server also means you decide the map size, seed, and whether to run procedural, Barren, Hapis, or a completely custom map. Server owners can manage admins and moderators through the console with full RCON access.
Game Host Bros runs Rust servers on AMD Ryzen 9 9950X and EPYC processors with NVMe storage across 8 global locations. Our panel lets you switch between Oxide and Carbon modding frameworks with a single setting change, and includes a built-in plugin installer for browsing and adding plugins directly. You can also manually upload .cs plugin files via the file manager. Custom maps are supported through a URL-based system where you link your .map file from Dropbox, and the RustEdit extension can be installed for advanced map features. Server configuration is available both through our panel and by editing server.cfg directly. Wipes are straightforward with guides for BP wipes, map wipes, and full wipes.
Rust is available on Steam and receives forced wipes typically on the first Thursday of each month. The Oxide and Carbon ecosystems provide thousands of plugins covering everything from economy systems and teleportation to anti-cheat enhancements and custom events. Full SFTP access is available for managing server files, uploading extensions to RustDedicated_Data/Managed, and handling configuration directly.
