How To Upload A Save To Your ASKA Server

Here is how to upload an existing save from your local PC to your ASKA server. Your tribe keeps all of its progress, so you can jump back in right where you left off.

If you get stuck at any time, Game Host Bros offers free save transfers. Just reach out to a bro on Discord.

Danger

Always create a backup of your save files before attempting to move or copy them.

Locating Your ASKA Save

ASKA stores each save in a folder named savegame_ followed by its save ID. You need this ID later.

  1. 1
Press Windows Key + R on your keyboard.
  2. 2
Copy and paste this, then press Enter:
    %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Sand Sailor Studio\Aska\data

  3. 3
Find the folder of the save you want to upload, for example savegame_84b08_241225160355.
  4. 4
Note down everything after savegame_. This is your save ID, for example 84b08_241225160355.

Tip

Your server loads the save that matches Save File ID. If your server starts a fresh world, check the ID matches your folder name after savegame_.

Note

Uploaded saves keep their own world name. Your server shows that name in the session list instead of the panel Display Name.
