Here is how you can join your Dead Matter dedicated server. Dead Matter is sold on Steam for Windows. No mods are needed.
Note
Your game must be on the same Dead Matter version as the server. The server runs the default Steam version and installs updates when it restarts (see Automatic Updates), so keep Dead Matter on its default branch in Steam, not a beta.
Connecting From The Server Browser
- 1Start Dead Matter.
- 2From the main menu, open the server browser.
- 3Search for your server name and join it. If you set a server password, enter it when asked.
Note
Dead Matter loads its whole map when the server starts, which takes a few minutes. The server shows in the browser once loading is done.
Connecting With The IP Address
- 1Log in to Bropanel and select your Dead Matter server.
- 2Copy the server IP address and port from the
Overviewpage, for example123.45.67.89:7777. - 3Start Dead Matter and open the server browser.
- 4Use the direct connect option, enter your IP address and port, and connect.
