How to Change Your Half-Life 2 Deathmatch Server Name

Here's how to change your server name on your Half-Life 2: Deathmatch server, also referred to as a hostname. This is what's displayed to players in the server browser.

    Log in to the Game Host Bros Panel and select your server.

    In the sidebar, go to Startup Parameters.
  3. 3
    Find the Server Name setting and enter your desired server name.
  4. 4
    Restart your server.
Note

This setting will override anything you have manually set inside of server.cfg.
