How To Set A Password On Your Insurgency: Sandstorm Server

This is what you do if you need to set a password on your Insurgency: Sandstorm server. This is the easiest way to make your server private while keeping unauthorized players out.

Sandstorm sets the join password with the ?Password= travel parameter on the launch line rather than in a config file, so on Bropanel you add it to the end of your Scenario Name setting.

Setting Your Insurgency: Sandstorm Server Password

  1. 1
Log in to Bropanel and select your server.
  2. 2
In the sidebar, go to Settings.
  3. 3
Find Scenario Name and add ?Password=yourpassword to the end of the scenario, for example Scenario_Farmhouse_Checkpoint_Security?Password=bros123.
  4. 4
Click Save & Restart to apply your changes.

Players are asked for the password when they join. Use letters and numbers only, with no spaces. To remove the password, delete everything from ?Password= onwards and click Save & Restart again.

Note

Password-protected servers can't use GameStats, so players won't earn XP while the password is set.
