When a player joins without one of your custom maps or mods, Killing Floor downloads it for them. Your server already sends these files through its own fast downloads. If you'd rather host the files yourself, for example on a web host shared by several servers, set a download redirect.
Setting Up A Download Redirect
- 1Compress each custom file to a
.uz2file. You can do this with theucc compresscommand that comes with the game, or download ready-made.uz2files from the map's website. - 2Upload the
.uz2files to a web host, all in one folder. - 3Log in to Bropanel and select your server.
- 4In the sidebar, go to
Settings. - 5Under
Modding, findDownload Redirect URLand enter the web address of that folder, for examplehttp://maps.example.com/kf/. - 6Click
Save & Restartto apply your changes.
To go back to the server's own fast downloads, clear the Download Redirect URL field and click Save & Restart.
Note
The file names on the web host must match the ones on your server with .uz2 added, for example KF-MyMap.rom.uz2.
