Install Mods First

Before uploading your modded world, make sure to install all required mods on your server.

Finding Your Local tModLoader World Save File

  1. 1

Press Windows Key + R and enter this:

    %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Terraria\tModLoader\Worlds

  2. 2

Find both the .wld and .twld files for the world you want to upload.

The .twld file contains your modded world data and is required.

For example:

tModLoader
Worlds
YourWorld.wldYour world save file
YourWorld.twldModded world data
Steam Cloud Saves

If your world is stored on the Steam cloud, you need to temporarily move it off the cloud first:

  1. 1
    Launch Terraria (tModLoader).
  2. 2
Go to the world selection menu.
  3. 3
Click the cloud icon next to your world to move it off the cloud. This will download a local copy of your save.
  4. 4
Re-enable Steam cloud after copying the files if desired.
