How To Install Terraria Mods

In this guide, you will learn how to install mods on your Terraria server using tModLoader and Steam Workshop. Whether you want to add massive content expansions like Calamity Mod or Thorium, quality-of-life improvements like Magic Storage, or gameplay overhauls, modding opens up endless possibilities for your Terraria server.

Installing tModLoader

Before installing any mods, you must first switch your server to tModLoader.

   Log in to Bropanel and select your Terraria server.

   In the sidebar, go to Settings.

   Under Version, locate Server Type and select tmodloader.

   Click Save & Restart to apply your changes.

Using the Steam Workshop Installer Recommended

The easiest way to install mods is directly through the panel.

   Log in to Bropanel and select your Terraria server.

   In the sidebar, go to Mods and open the Browse tab.

   Search for the mod you want and click Install.

   Restart your server.

Installing Mods Using Workshop IDs

As an alternative, you can install mods by pasting their Workshop IDs directly into Settings.

You will need to know how to get a Workshop ID for each mod you want to install. You can view all the tModLoader mods here.

Once you find the mod you want, you need to copy the URL. Let's use this URL for example: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2824688072. The Workshop ID is the numbers at the end of the URL; in this case, the Workshop ID is 2824688072.

   Log in to Bropanel and select your server.

   In the sidebar, go to Settings and select the Mods tab.

   Under Mods, find Workshop Mod IDs and paste the Workshop IDs of the mods you'd like to install. You can also add multiple mods by separating them with a comma, for example:

   2669644269,2563309347,2908170107
   

   • 2669644269 - Boss Checklist (A progression tracker)
   • 2563309347 - Magic Storage (A storage system)
   • 2908170107 - Serous Common Lib (A required dependancy for Magic Storage)

   Click Save & Restart to apply your changes.

The mods will automatically download and install once your server starts.
