How To Change Your The Isle Evrima Server Type

At Game Host Bros, our The Isle Evrima servers include both Linux or Windows server type compatibility. You can switch between them at any time on your The Isle Evrima server using the Server Software Type toggle under Advanced in Server Options.

Choosing Windows Server adds support for UE4SS modding.

Caution

Switching server types is experimental, we officially recommend remaining on the native Linux Server type. Configuration files for Windows Servers are located at Isle/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/. When switching, we recommend deleting all files and reinstalling to avoid any confusion.

Changing Server Type

    Access the Game Host Bros Panel and Stop your server.
  2. 2
    In the sidebar, go to Server Options.
  3. 3
    Under Advanced, edit the Server Software Type field and set it to either Linux Server or Windows Server.

    Go to File Manager and delete ALL the folders and files (The File Manager should have nothing left).

    In the sidebar select Advanced > Server Actions.
  6. 6
    Click Reinstall Server and wait for the install to finish.
  7. 7
    Return to Console and Start your server.
