In this guide, you will learn how to install mods and plugins on your V Rising server using BepInEx.
Using the Mod Installer Recommended
The easiest way to install mods is directly through the panel. Any dependencies listed by the mod are installed automatically, and if BepInEx isn't enabled yet, the installer will prompt you to install it.
- 1Log in to Bropanel and select your V Rising server.
- 2In the sidebar, go to
Modsand open theBrowsetab. - 3Search for the mod you want and click
Install. - 4Restart your server.
Installing BepInEx
Before installing any plugins manually, you must first install BepInEx.
- 1Log in to Bropanel and select your V Rising server.
- 2In the sidebar, go to
Settings. - 3Under
Modding, enable the settingEnable Modding (Bepinex). - 4Click
Save & Restartto apply your changes.
Everything you require to install mods on your V Rising server is now configured and ready to use. BepInEx will be automatically kept up-to-date whenever your server restarts.
Manually Installing Plugins
As an alternative, you can install plugins manually. We suggest downloading them from Thunderstore. You will also need to know how to upload files to your game server.

Log in to Bropanel and
Stopyour server. - 2
Download the plugin you want from Thunderstore, right click, and extract it.

In the sidebar, go to
Files. - 4
Navigate to
BepInEx/pluginsand upload your extracted plugin folder.BepInExpluginsodjit-KindredPortalsExample plugin.KindredPortals.dllmanifest.json.. - 5
Start your server.

Some plugins may require additional configuration before use, make sure to install any and all dependencies listed by the plugin author and follow any installation instructions.

Some plugins also require that you become an admin to use commands.

You can tell if a plugin is loading by opening the log file in
Bepinex/Output.log.
