How to Configure Your American Truck Simulator Server

The convoy settings for your American Truck Simulator server are all in our game panel. Each time your server starts, they are written to server_config.sii for you, so there's no need to edit the file.

Changing Your ATS Server Settings

    Log in to Bropanel and select your server.

    In the sidebar, go to Settings.

    Edit the setting you want to change. Each one is explained below.

    Click Save & Restart to apply your changes.

Basic Settings

SettingWhat it does
[Important] Steam Auth token (This must be set)Your Steam Game Server Login Token (GSLT). Valve requires one for your server to be listed in the server browser, and each server needs its own. See creating a GSLT.
[Basic] Lobby NameThe convoy name players see in the convoy lobby. See changing your server name.
[Basic] Server DescriptionA short description of your convoy, up to 63 characters.
[Basic] Welcome MessageA message shown to drivers when they join.
[Basic] Server PasswordThe password drivers need to join. See setting a password.
[Basic] Max Players (Read Info)How many drivers can join, up to 128. Above 8, every player has to edit their game config first. See max players.
[Basic] Max Vehicles TotalThe total number of vehicles allowed on the server, players and AI traffic combined.
[Basic] Moderator SteamIDsPlayers who are made moderators when they join. See adding moderators.
[Basic] Auto UpdateChecks for a server update each time your server starts. See updating your server.

Gameplay Settings

[Gameplay] Max AI Vehicles That Spawn With PlayersThe most AI vehicles that can spawn near each player.
[Gameplay] Player DamageWhether players can take damage from other players.
[Gameplay] Hide Colliding PlayersHides a colliding vehicle after it teleports.
[Gameplay] Hide Players In CompaniesHides other players while they're in a company area.
[Gameplay] Service No CollisionTurns off collisions in service areas.
[Gameplay] In Menu GhostingTurns off collisions for players who have paused the game.
[Gameplay] Force Speed LimiterForces the speed limiter on for every driver.
[Gameplay] Show Name TagsShows player name tags above vehicles.

Advanced Settings

SettingWhat it does
[Advanced] Are Mods Optional?Makes mods that are marked as optional really optional for players. Turning this on can cause problems on a modded server.
[Advanced] TimezoneThe time zone setting for your convoy, from 0 to 2. We recommend leaving this on the default.
[Advanced] Steam Beta BranchRuns an older or beta version of the server. See changing your server version.

Map, DLC and mod choices aren't panel settings. They come from the server_packages files you export from your game. See our mod install guide.
