How To Install The Game Files On Your Call of Duty 2 Server

Your server needs the game files from your own copy of Call of Duty 2, the same files your game uses. Until they're added, the console tells you they're missing. You can upload them or give the server a download link.

Uploading The Game Files

  1. 1
On your computer, open your Call of Duty 2 folder and then the main folder. On Steam, right-click Call of Duty 2 and choose Manage > Browse local files.
  2. 2
Log in to Bropanel and Stop your server.
  3. 3
In the sidebar, go to Files and open the main folder.
  4. 4
Upload every iw_00.iwd to iw_15.iwd file and every localized_ file, for example localized_english_iw00.iwd. SFTP is easiest for files this large.
  5. 5
    Start your server.
  1. 1
Zip your game's main folder and upload the zip somewhere that gives you a direct download link.
  2. 2
Log in to Bropanel and select your server.
  3. 3
In the sidebar, go to Settings.
  4. 4
Under Advanced, paste the link into Game Files URL.
  5. 5
Click Save & Restart to apply your changes.

The server downloads and installs the files on that start, which takes a few minutes. It only downloads once: when the files are there, the link isn't used again.

Note

Your game must be on version 1.3, which every Steam copy is. A retail CD or DVD copy needs the official 1.3 patch first.
