By default, Xbox players can only connect to official servers in Minecraft Bedrock. However, you can change your Xbox's DNS settings to allow connection to third party servers like your Minecraft Bedrock server using BedrockConnect.
Changing DNS Settings on Xbox
- 1Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the home dashboard
- 2Navigate to
Profile & system > Settings > Network - 3Select
Network settings > Advanced settings - 4Select
DNS settingsand chooseManual - 5Enter these DNS addresses:
- Primary DNS:
104.238.130.180 - Secondary DNS:
8.8.8.8
- Primary DNS:
- 6Save your settings and restart your console
Connecting to Your Server
- 1Log in to the Game Host Bros panel and select your Minecraft server.
- 2Copy your server IP address from the sidebar.
- 3Open Minecraft and click
Play. - 4Go to
Serversand select any available server. - 5Click
Connect to a Server. - 6Enter your server's IP address and port.
- 7Click
Submit.
Example: If your server IP is 198.137.23.46:7781, it should look like this:
IP: 198.137.23.46
Port: 7781
Alternative DNS Servers
If the main server is unavailable, try these alternatives:
- UK Server:
213.171.211.142 - Germany Server:
217.160.58.93
