How To Transfer A Singleplayer Or Co-op Host Character To Your Palworld Server - Host Save Fix

This guide explains how to migrate your Steam or PC Game Pass co-op host character data to your newly created Game Host Bros Palworld server after uploading your existing co-op save.

Solo/Co-op Host Character Transfers (Experimental)

After uploading an existing co-op save to your Palworld server from either Steam or PC Game Pass, follow this guide to transfer your host character data to your server.

Here's how to prepare the transfer:

   Connect to your Palworld server and create a new character, then level up at least once to level 2.

   Wait for your server to save (4 minutes by default).

   • Alternatively, type save into your server console under Console of Bropanel.

   After saving, stop your server.

   In the sidebar, go to Files and navigate to Pal/Saved/SaveGames/0/YourSaveFile.

   Download your Level.sav and LevelMeta.sav files and the Players folder.

Transferring Your Host Character

After following the steps above, here's how to use Palworld Save Pal to transfer your co-op host character to your new character. This process is also known as a host save fix.

Ensure your server is stopped before proceeding.

   Download the standalone version of Palworld Save Pal, a free save editing tool, from its latest release.

   Extract the zip and open psp.exe.

   Select Steam as the Save Platform, then navigate to your downloaded save folder and open Level.sav. Level.sav should be in the same folder as your downloaded LevelMeta.sav and Players folder.

   In the Palworld Save Pal sidebar, go to Tools and click UID Swap.

   Select the host character 00000001.sav for Player A and your new server character for Player B, then click Swap ID's and Confirm Swap. Once done, click Save in the sidebar.

   Upload the updated Players folder and Level.sav and LevelMeta.sav files to your server again, replacing any existing files.
