How To Add Custom Maps To Your Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 Server

Red Orchestra has a large library of community maps. Here's how to put one on your server.

Adding A Custom Map

  1. 1
Download the map and unzip it on your computer. Maps end in .rom; some come with extra .utx, .usx or .uax files.
  2. 2
Log in to Bropanel and Stop your server.
  3. 3
In the sidebar, go to Files.
  4. 4
Upload the .rom file to the Maps folder, .utx files to Textures, .usx files to StaticMeshes and .uax files to Sounds.
  5. 5
    Start your server.

To start on the new map, enter its name in Map. To add it to the rotation, add a Maps= line with the map name under [ROInterface.ROMapList] in system/RedOrchestra.ini, or use Web Admin.

Tip

Players who don't have the map download it when they join. Your server sends custom files through its built-in FastDL, so downloads are quick.
