How To Add Bots To Your Return to Castle Wolfenstein Server

Bots keep your Return to Castle Wolfenstein server playable when only a few people are on. Your server uses Omni-bot, whose bots pick classes, plant dynamite, call in airstrikes and play every stock map's objectives. They fill the server up to the number you set and leave as real players join.

Adding Bots

  1. 1
Log in to Bropanel and select your server.
  2. 2
In the sidebar, go to Settings.
  3. 3
Under Gameplay, find Bots and enter how many players the server should always have, for example 8.
  4. 4
Click Save & Restart to apply your changes.

Set Bots to 0 to turn bots off. To change how good the bots are, see Bot Skill.

Bots always leave one slot free so players can join, and never go over Max Players. They know every stock map and over 300 custom maps; on a custom map without bot waypoints, they can't find their way around.

Joining a Server With Bots

With bots on, your server runs the Omni-bot mod, and every player downloads its small files the first time they join. If a player sees The following packs are missing when they connect, their game has downloads turned off.

  1. 1
Start the multiplayer game and press the ~ key to open the console.
  2. 2
Type /cl_allowdownload 1 and press Enter.
  3. 3
Connect to the server again. The game downloads the Omni-bot files and joins.

Each player only needs to do this once.
