How To Change The Map On Your SourceForts Classic Server

Your server starts on the map you pick in Settings, then moves through the map cycle.

Setting The Starting Map

    Log in to Bropanel and select your server.

    In the sidebar, go to Settings.

    Under Gameplay, edit Map and enter the map name without .bsp, for example sf_astrodome.

    Click Save & Restart to apply your changes.

SourceForts Classic comes with these maps: sf_abandon, sf_astrodome, sf_basin, sf_canyon, sf_conduit, sf_crete, sf_deck, sf_depth, sf_fronts, sf_grassy, sf_metalurgy, sf_overload, sf_overloaded, sf_sandbox, sf_skywalk, sf_sphinx, sf_tactical, sf_tread and sf_valley. If the map you enter isn't on the server, it starts on sf_astrodome.

Editing The Map Cycle

    Log in to Bropanel and Stop your server.

    In the sidebar, go to Files and open sfclassic/cfg/mapcycle.txt.
  3. 3
    List one map per line, in the order you want them played, and save the file.
  4. 4
    Start your server.

Adding Custom Maps

    Log in to Bropanel and Stop your server.
  2. 2
    In the sidebar, go to Files and open sfclassic/maps.
  3. 3
    Upload the map's .bsp file, plus any materials, models or sounds it needs into sfclassic/materials, sfclassic/models and sfclassic/sound.
  4. 4
    Start your server.

Players download custom maps automatically when they join, through FastDL.
