How To Connect To Your SourceForts Classic Server

SourceForts Classic is a free mod for Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer. Players need Steam, Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer on its previous2021 beta, and SourceForts Classic 1.0 RC7, the same version your server runs.

Installing SourceForts Classic

  1. 1
In Steam, open your Library, show Tools, and install Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer (free).
  2. 2
Right-click Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer, open Properties > Betas, and select previous2021. SourceForts Classic 1.0 RC7 was made for this version of the SDK and may not launch on the current one.
  3. 3
Download SourceForts Classic 1.0 RC7 from ModDB.
  4. 4
Run the installer, or extract the sfclassic folder from the archive into Steam/steamapps/sourcemods.
  5. 5
Restart Steam. SourceForts Classic now shows in your Steam library.

Joining Your Server

  1. 1
Log in to Bropanel and select your server.
  2. 2
Copy the server IP address from the Overview page.
  3. 3
Launch SourceForts Classic from your Steam library.
  4. 4
Press the ~ key to open the developer console. If it doesn't open, enable Developer Console under Options > Keyboard > Advanced.
  5. 5
Type connect followed by the copied IP address and press Enter. If your server has a password, enter it when asked.

Tip

To find the server again later, add it to your favourites: in Steam go to View > Game Servers, open the Favorites tab and click Add a Server.

Note

ModDB also lists a SourceForts Classic 1.1 beta for the current SDK. Your server runs 1.0 RC7, so join with 1.0 RC7 on the previous2021 beta.
