How To Add Workshop Mods And Maps To Your GROUND BRANCH Server

Your GROUND BRANCH server can run mods and maps from the Steam Workshop. You list them by their Workshop ID, and your server downloads them from Steam every time it starts, so Workshop updates come in with a restart.

Finding A Workshop ID

Open the item on the Steam Workshop. The ID is the number at the end of its address, after ?id=. For example, the ID of https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3689012541 is 3689012541.

Adding Workshop Items

  1. 1
Log in to Bropanel and Stop your server.
  2. 2
In the sidebar, go to Files.
  3. 3
Navigate to /GroundBranch/ServerConfig/. Open Mods.txt, or create it if it isn't there yet.
  4. 4
Add one Workshop ID per line:
    3689012541
    1234567890

  5. 5
    Start your server.

The console shows OnDedicatedServerModSyncFinished(): bSuccess: true once your server has downloaded the items. To play a Workshop map, add it to your map list from the admin menu.

Players don't need to subscribe to anything: when they join from the server browser, the game downloads your server's mods for them.

To remove an item, delete its line from Mods.txt and restart your server.

Note

Workshop missions are skipped: your server only loads items such as maps and mods. Large maps can take a few minutes to download the first time your server starts with them.
