How To Add Workshop Maps And Mods To Your Killing Floor 2 Server

Your Killing Floor 2 server can run maps and mods from the Steam Workshop. Your server downloads them from Steam when it starts.

Add and remove Workshop items from the Mods page in the panel.

  1. 1
Log in to Bropanel and select your Killing Floor 2 server.
  2. 2
In the sidebar, go to Mods and open the Browse tab.
  3. 3
Search for the map or mod you want and click Install.
  4. 4
    Restart your server.

Your server downloads the items every time it starts, so Workshop updates come in with a restart. Workshop maps are added to the map vote list automatically. To start on one, set it as your Starting Map, which shows how to find its map name.

To remove an item, remove it on the Mods page, then restart your server. Its map is taken out of the map list too.

Players don't need to subscribe to anything: Steam downloads your server's Workshop items for them when they join.

Note

If an item doesn't download, check that its page is public and that it's a Killing Floor 2 item. The console shows a line for any item that couldn't be downloaded. Epic Games Store players can't download Workshop items, so they can only join on stock maps.

Workshop mods that change gameplay are usually mutators and also need to be loaded. See Mutators.
