How To List Your Unreal Tournament 3 Server On OpenSpy

Unreal Tournament 3 lists servers through OpenSpy, the community replacement for GameSpy. OpenSpy needs every server to log in with its own profile. Without one, your server still runs and players can join by IP, but it doesn't show in the server browser.

Creating An OpenSpy Profile

  1. 1
Install the OpenSpy patch for UT3 on your computer and start the game.
  2. 2
On the login screen, click Create Profile.
  3. 3
Enter a new profile name, your email address and a password, then confirm.

Make a new profile just for your server instead of using the one you play with. Each server needs its own profile, and every profile on the same email address must use the same password.

Adding The Profile To Your Server

  1. 1
Log in to Bropanel and select your server.
  2. 2
In the sidebar, go to Settings.
  3. 3
Under Basic, enter the profile name in OpenSpy Profile Name and its password in OpenSpy Profile Password.
  4. 4
Click Save & Restart to apply your changes.

Note

It can take a few minutes for your server to appear in the server browser after it starts. Players need the OpenSpy patch to see it there; anyone can still join by IP.
