How to Upload Your Existing VEIN Server Save

This tutorial will guide you through the process of uploading an existing world save file to your VEIN dedicated server.

This will delete or overwrite any progress you have made on the server.

Transfer From Another VEIN Server Provider

If you already have a VEIN server with another provider, then this is how you migrate your existing save to Game Host Bros.

    On your previous server, navigate to Vein/Saved/SaveGames/ and download your Server.vns save file.
  2. 2
    Navigate to Vein/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/ and download your Engine.ini file.
  3. 3
    Log in to the Game Host Bros Game Panel and Stop your VEIN server.
  4. 4
    In the sidebar, go to File Manager.
  5. 5
    Navigate to Vein/Saved/SaveGames and upload your Server.vns save file, replacing the existing file.
  6. 6
    Navigate to Vein/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/ and upload your Engine.ini file, replacing the existing file.

    Start your server.

Transfer From A Local PC

    Open your Steam games library, right-click VEIN, and select Manage > Browse Local Files.

    Navigate to Vein > Saved > SaveGames.
  3. 3
    Copy your save file (for example: YourSave.vns) to a safe location.

Uploading Your Save File

    Log in to the Game Host Bros Game Panel and Stop your VEIN server.

  2. 2

    In the sidebar, go to File Manager.

  3. 3

    Navigate to Vein/Saved/SaveGames and delete the existing save file Server.vns.

  4. 4

    Upload your save file.

  5. 5

    Rename your uploaded save file to Server.vns.

    Start your VEIN server.

Tip

The save file must be named exactly Server.vns for the server to load it.
