Here is how you can join your Action: Source dedicated server. Your server runs the current Steam version of Action: Source and keeps itself updated, so players only need the game from Steam with its latest update installed. No mods are needed.

Connecting From The Server Browser

Open Action: Source and click Find Servers.

On the Internet tab, type your server name in the filter or sort the list by name.

Double-click your server to join. If you set a server password, enter it when asked.

Note

It can take a few minutes for a new server to appear in the server browser after it starts. Joining by IP always works.

Connecting With The IP Address

Log in to Bropanel and select your Action: Source server.

Copy the server IP address and port from the Overview page, for example 123.45.67.89:27015.

Open Action: Source and press the ~ key to open the console. If nothing happens, turn on Enable Developer Console in the game's keyboard options first.

Type connect 123.45.67.89:27015 with your own IP and port, then press Enter.

If your server has a password, type password yourpassword in the console before you connect.
