How To Change The Version Of Your Garry's Mod Server

Here is how you can change the version of your Garry's Mod server, including switching between the 32-bit and 64-bit server binaries.

Changing Your Garry's Mod Server Version

    Log in to Bropanel and Stop your server.

    In the sidebar, go to Settings.

    Under Advanced, set Steam Beta Branch to the branch you want (a list of branches is below).

    Click Reinstall in the top-right.

    Select Format (keep settings), then confirm and wait for the install to finish.

Danger

As this deletes everything, download a backup first if you want to keep any data.

  • public runs the standard 32-bit server and is always the latest game version.
  • x86-64 installs and runs the 64-bit server binaries.
