This guide explains how to reset your character on your Palworld server using Palworld Save Tools, so you can start over with a fresh character. If you'd instead prefer to reset your entire server, see our Reset Server guide.
Danger
To start a new character, don't just delete your .sav file (example: 4ABA143E000000000000000000000000.sav) from Pal/Saved/SaveGames/0/YourSaveFile/Players/. This leaves you unable to reconnect with an error such as Result = FailedPlayerSaveRecoveryFailed. Use Palworld Save Tools instead.
Downloading Your Save
Here's how to prepare:
- 1Log in to Bropanel and
Stopyour server. - 2In the sidebar, go to
Filesand navigate toPal/Saved/SaveGames/0/YourSaveFile. - 3Download your
Level.savfile and thePlayersfolder. - 4Extract the downloaded files on your PC.
Deleting Your Character
After downloading your save files, here's how to delete your character.
Required Tools
Install Palworld Save Tools before proceeding, and make sure it's up to date:
- 1Open Palworld Save Tools and import your downloaded
Level.savfile. - 2Click
Playersin the sidebar, then right-click the character you want to delete and selectDelete Player. - 3Click
Menu>File>Save Changes. - 4Upload the updated
Playersfolder andLevel.savfile to your server again, replacing the existing files. - 5Start your server.
Upon reconnecting, you'll be prompted to create a new character.
