How To Add Mod Cars And Tracks To Your Assetto Corsa Server

Your Assetto Corsa server can race mod cars and tracks. Every player needs the same mods installed in their own game, so share the download links with your drivers. Your server only needs a few small files from each mod, which it uses to check that every player's copy matches.

Uploading A Mod To Your Server

  1. 1
Install the mod in your own game first.
  2. 2
On your PC, open your Assetto Corsa folder. In Steam, right-click Assetto Corsa and select Manage, then Browse local files.
  3. 3
Log in to Bropanel and Stop your server.
  4. 4
In the sidebar, go to Files and open content/cars for a car, or content/tracks for a track.
  5. 5
Upload the mod's folder from content/cars or content/tracks on your PC.
  6. 6
Set the mod as your track or add it to your cars, as shown in Change Track and Cars.
  7. 7
    Start your server.

You can upload the whole mod folder, or save space by uploading only the files your server reads: data.acd for a car, and for a track its data folder and models.ini. Tracks with several layouts have a data folder inside each layout's folder and a models_ file for each layout instead.

Note

SFTP is the easiest way to upload whole folders or many files at once.

Your server can still race a mod you haven't uploaded, but it can't check that players have the same version of it.
